Chris Swayze
For 16 years, Dr. Chris Swayze worked for the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. As former manager, reports, in the Professional Conduct and Regulatory Affairs Department, Dr. Swayze oversaw a team that investigated allegations of professional misconduct, including standards of practice, billing and infection control. He was involved with remedial education, mentoring and practice monitoring at the RCDSO, and helped develop several College standards, guidelines and practice advisories. An extensive presenter on topics such as infection prevention and control. Dr. Swayze has been an invited keynote speaker at several events. He graduated from Western University in 1993; obtained an MBA for Science and Technology from Queen’s University in 2000; and in 2012 he received the Osgoode Certificate in Health Law from Osgoode Hall Law School, which he has used to support and consult on a number of entrepreneurial start-ups.
Robert Gardin
With over 14 years experience, Robert joined the Continuing Dental Education team from the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, where he was the Program Officer for one of the largest residency programs in Canada. He has experience in the administration, preparation and execution of large high-stakes events and programming, and brings a wealth of knowledge in project management and office administration to the Department. Robert has a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative and Commercial Studies from Western University.
Tracey Stolarchuk
With a passion for dental care and a commitment to excellence, Tracey brings over a decade of experience as a certified Level 2 dental assistant to the field. Since obtaining certification in 2006, she has consistently demonstrated her dedication to dental health and patient well-being.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Tracey has also managed a multi-practice dental office. This unique experience allowed her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the operational side of dental care. Moreover, Tracey orchestrated a series of continuing education courses spanning various dental specialties. These courses not only enhanced the skills of fellow dental professionals but also underscored her commitment to advancing the field.
Tracey joined the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto in 2014 where she has been able to combine her real-world experience with academia, contributing to the education of future dental professionals.
Anna Ponte
Prior to accepting her position as Administrative Assistant, with Continuing Dental Education, Faculty of Dentistry, Anna worked as a Registration Coordinator with Continuing Education Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine for 13 years. She brings with her extensive knowledge and experience in coordinating and managing courses and events as well as strong administrative skills.
