ACDE Webinar Series
The Association for Continuing Dental Education (ACDE), along with 37 of its member schools, is jointly providing a series of live webinars. This series features university-based key opinion leaders presenting numerous topics on multiple dates and times. Presentations are available to meet every dental professional’s schedule and interests.
Course Description
This seminar will focus on the health of dental implants- not only how to determine if an implant is healthy or failing, but also how to prevent issues such as peri-implant disease.
Currently both forms of restorations – Screw as well as cement- retained have vulnerabilities. These will be discussed and preventative solutions based on Dr. Wadhwani’s published research will be provided. An account of newly found issues due to manufacturer oversight and how this will affect you and your patients will also be shown.

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Be able to determine by simple tests if an implant has disease or is healthy
- Understand latest concepts on peri-implantitis
- Understand the issues with screw retained crowns and why screw loosening is so prominent.
- How to cement implant restorations safely as possible.

This webinar will be held on Zoom.

Presenter
Dr. Wadhwani is an international speaker on restoring and following dental implants. He has received awards for his teaching and research from the American College of prosthodontists give the highest award for as the distinguished lecturer in 2018, as well as awards from Academy of osseointegration and Canadian academies. He has authored over 70 peer reviewed articles and has chapters in 7 major implant text books. Currently in Private practice limited to prosthodontics, he conducts research with multiple Universities. He holds affiliate titles in both prosthodontics (UW and LLU) as well as Periodontics (OHSU). Chandur is director of Science for the Foundation of Oral Rehabilitation.as well as on the council for Emerging leaders program.
