ACDE Webinar Series

The Association for Continuing Dental Education (ACDE), along with 37 of its member schools, is jointly providing a series of live webinars. This series features university-based key opinion leaders presenting numerous topics on multiple dates and times. Presentations are available to meet every dental professional’s schedule and interests.
Course Description
This course will review current denture lining materials, techniques, and indications as well as compatibility with printed and milled complete and removable partial denture base acrylic.

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Develop a decision making process that leads to a successful application of the appropriate lining material.
- Review best practices in placement of a denture liner.

This webinar will be held on Zoom.

Presenter
Dr. Audrey Selecman is a distinguished alumnus of the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, class of 2004. She further specialized in Prosthodontics, earning her Master of Dental Science in 2007 from the same institution. Currently, Dr. Selecman serves as an Associate Professor and Chair of Prosthodontics at her alma mater. In her academic role, Dr. Selecman embraces a multifaceted career encompassing teaching, writing, research, and patient care. As a course director of predoctoral removable prosthodontics, she has developed a comprehensive curriculum to include implants, digital technology, and CAD/CAM dentistry. Dr. Selecman’s scholarly contributions include being an invited author for both McCracken’s Removable Partial Prosthodontics (14th edition) and Zarb’s Prosthodontic Treatment for the Edentulous Patient (14th edition). Her primary research interests lie in material science as it pertains to removable prosthetics. Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Selecman is dedicated to her family life as a wife and mother to three teenagers. In her leisure time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and exploring the natural beauty of the mountains with her family.
