Dr. Michelle Tang received her BSc, DDS and MSc in Dental Anaesthesia degrees at the University of Toronto. She practices as a dentist anesthesiologist in out-patient anesthesia dental clinics in Oakville and Burlington.
Apart from being a dentist anesthesiologist, Dr. Tang was a part-time Assistant Professor in the Discipline of Dental Anaesthesia and helped establish the Paediatric Anaesthesia Clinic at the Faculty of Dentistry. Currently, she still lectures and teaches at both University of Toronto and Western University.
In addition to her commitment to education, Dr. Tang has served numerous roles on several Boards and Societies, including the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and the American Society of Dental Anesthesia. Currently, she is the Treasurer of the Canadian Academy of Dental Anaesthesia. Recently, Dr. Tang was promoted to the position of Chief Examiner for the Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge Examination at the National Dental Examination Board.
Somewhere in between working, teaching and serving on different societies, Dr. Tang’s hardest job is raising her two kids with her husband. When she finds some ‘me time’, she enjoys playing piano and working out.
