Course Description
This comprehensive course is designed for dentists seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in immediate implant placement and loading. Participants will gain a deep understanding of the protocols, techniques, biologic basis, and clinical decision-making required to achieve successful outcomes in cases where implants are placed immediately following tooth extraction and restored with a fixed provisional restoration.
Key topics will include case selection criteria, surgical and prosthetic workflows, management of soft and hard tissue, grafting, laboratory support, complications, and advanced techniques such as partial extraction therapy. Attendees will learn evidence-based surgical and prosthodontic approaches to minimize complications, optimize esthetic and functional results, and improve patient satisfaction.
Case-based format will be utilized to highlight decision making, demonstrate clinical tips, and enhance participants’ leaning.
The lecture will cover three distinct clinical scenarios:
- Immediate implant placement and loading in the aesthetic zone for single and multiple adjacent teeth
- Immediate implant placement in the posterior zone for single and multiple adjacent teeth
- Immediate implant placement and loading for full-arch bridges (all-on-4)
-
Upon completion of this course participants will:
- Understand the biological principles and factors influencing immediate implant success.
- Learn critical clinical steps and their rationale in immediate implant placement and loading.
- Develop skills in atraumatic extraction and implant site preparation.
- Recognize key determinants of achieving primary stability.
- Understand different methods and protocols for provisionalization.
- Recognize unique challenges in each of the treatment scenarios – aesthetic zone vs. posterior zone and single tooth vs. a few adjacent teeth vs. full-arch applications.
- Explore conventional and digital tools in the treatment planning and execution.
- Recognize, prevent, and manage potential complications and challenges.
- Learn tested strategies to optimize predictability and efficiency of treatment while minimizing risks.
