Tips and Tricks on Restoring Crowns: From Single Units to Multiple Units

Course Description

Doing single crowns should be part of the bread and butter dentistry for general dentists.  But are you worried about planning and doing crowns in your practice?  This course will break down everything from the planning to the execution phase of fabricating single crowns. Dr. Leung will discuss considerations for tooth preparation, temporization, moisture control, final impressions and cementation strategies.  The course will also discuss the strategies in managing multiple crowns in quadrant dentistry as well as anterior aesthetic cases.

    • To describe the indications for the different core and crown restorations
    • To describe procedural considerations from tooth preparation, temporization, final impressions to cementation
    • To describe strategies in managing multiple units
  • Please arrive within 30 minutes before the course start time to sign in.

    Staff will be available at the Faculty of Dentistry’s Edward St entrance to admit participants into the building as this building is not open to the public. If you arrive too early, you may need to wait until staff arrive.

    Hands-on materials and equipment are provided for participants to use in the course.

  • Cancellations made more than 10 calendar days before the course start date will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 10 calendar days of the course start date.

    Refunds will not be issued for registrants who do not attend, regardless of reason for absence.

    Registrations cannot be transferred to another individual.

Instructor

Dr. Leung is a distinguished dental professional with a rich academic and clinical background. She earned her DDS degree from the University of Toronto, followed by a General Practice Residency at Boston Medical Center and a Prosthodontics Residency at the University of Pittsburgh, where she also completed a Master of Public Health degree.

A recognized leader in her field, Dr. Leung is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. Since completing her training, she has been dedicated to private practice while also sharing her expertise as a part-time Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, where she plays a key role in undergraduate prosthodontic education.

Dr. Leung’s contributions to dental education have earned her the title of Honorary Class Member for three consecutive years and the prestigious Dr. Bruce Hord Master Teacher Award for 2019-2020.
