Course Description

A dental practice is a business. To be successful, it requires an effective system, a well-trained team and organized methods of operation. Our Dental Practice Management course is designed to help dental professionals learn the skills and knowledge needed to make their practice successful.

This course is suitable for dentists and everyone on the dental team as it covers many important topics that are crucial for running a dental practice smoothly.

    • Develop an effective retention system for recall
    • Attract new patients while retaining the ones you have
    • Establish a financial policy that is fair for you and the patient
    • Collect what you produce, what is a healthy accounts receivable
    • Insurance claim management and understanding insurance
    • Profit and loss, understand EBITDA
    • Scheduling the key to your productivity
    • The telephone, still the most important communication tool
    • Create a new patient appointment that keep them coming back
    • Learn when to market (internal and external) and importance of brand
  • This course will be entirely online. Live lectures will be held on Zoom, where you can ask questions and participate in discussions. All parts of the course, including assignments and assessments, will be done online.

    Instructions will be sent to you by email closer to the course start date on how to access everything.

  • This course consists of 10 live online sessions. Each session will be held 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

  • Cancellations made more than 10 calendar days before the course start date will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 10 calendar days of the course start date.

    Refunds will not be issued for registrants who do not attend, regardless of reason for absence.

    Registrations cannot be transferred to another individual.

    To cancel your registration, please follow the link and instructions provided in the registration confirmation email. If you are eligible for a refund, the refund will be processed automatically upon cancellation. Please allow 3-5 business days for the transaction to be completed.

    Continuing Dental Education (University of Toronto) reserves the right to cancel courses due to insufficient registrations, instructor cancellation, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. In the event of course cancellation, a full refund will be issued, and registrants will be notified promptly.   • After completing this course, a certificate of completion that indicates the number of Continuing Education (CE) points earned will be sent to you within 7-10 days by email.

Linda loves results! She realizes that to be a successful leader you must understand the impact of change on a team. Change has been a constant in Linda’s career.

Linda gained her knowledge and experience through developing her roles within the practice of dentistry, as well as through continuing education and then as a practice management coach serving dentists across North America. She has completed many courses in leadership, mediation, case presentation, and has a Certificate in Adult Education through the Saint Francis Xavier University. She is a Certified Training Professional as recognized by the Institute of Performance and Learning.

As a coach, Linda recognizes talent, skills, and knowledge in people. She is the go-to person when defining roles and skills in the areas of managing downtime, case presentation, accounts receivables, scheduling and much more. Linda’s clients achieve their vision and gain financial returns on their investment. She facilitates workshops on the business of dentistry and has been the instructor of the Dental Practice Management course since 2015.

The team approach to dentistry is important to Linda. She has the ability to create motion and momentum in others. She believes that with understanding and humor, a team will embrace change to achieve the results they desire.
