OVERVIEW
This interactive course is designed for practitioners who are currently utilizing moderate sedation services with their patients. We will discuss the following minimal and moderate sedation modalities: nitrous oxide & oxygen, oral sedation with benzodiazepines, and the use of nitrous oxide and oral benzodiazepines in combination.
The RCDSO’s Standard of Practice regarding the use of sedation in dental practice will be referenced throughout the course to provide clarity on how to comply with Ontario’s regulations. Personal cases are welcome for review.
The goal of the course is to allow each attendee to return to their practice with greater clinical knowledge and confidence.
