OVERVIEW
This course provides a focused exploration of the pharmaceutical interventions essential for effectively managing pain in dental practice. Students will delve into the various analgesic agents, their mechanisms of action, and safe administration protocols. Emphasis is placed on understanding pain assessment, individualized treatment planning, and recognizing patient-specific considerations.
Learning Objectives
Upon completing this course:
- Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the pharmacological options and treatment strategies for effectively alleviating dental pain.
- Participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions regarding the selection, administration, and monitoring of pain relief medications in a dental context.

Cancellations
A 100% refund will be granted for registrations cancelled at least two weeks prior to course start date. A 50% refund will be granted for registrations cancelled at least one week prior to course start date. Refunds will not be granted after one week prior to course start date.

The University of Toronto reserves the right to cancel events. Registrants will be notified at the earliest possible date in the event of a cancellation. Registration fees for events cancelled by the University will be refunded in full; however, the University will not be liable for any loss, damages or other expenses that such cancellations may cause.
ACCREDITATION
