The Association for Continuing Dental Education (ACDE), along with 37 of its member schools, is jointly providing a series of live webinars. This series features university-based key opinion leaders presenting numerous topics on multiple dates and times. Presentations are available to meet every dental professional’s schedule and interests.
Course Description
This course explores the evolving principles and clinical practices in Vital Pulp Therapy (VPT), with a focus on preserving pulpal vitality in both immature and mature permanent teeth. Through a comprehensive review of pulp biology, diagnostic protocols, treatment modalities, and material science, participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to implement evidence-based VPT procedures in clinical practice.

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
- Define vital pulp therapy procedures
- Perform sensibility testing to achieve accurate diagnosis
- Develop proper treatment protocol based on disease process and diagnosis

Presenter
Dr. Danielle Wingrove is a board-certified endodontist who currently holds the positions of assistant dean of curriculum and section head of endodontics at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2004. Following her graduation, Dr. Wingrove served as a general dentist in the U.S. Navy for three years before pursuing an advanced education program in endodontics at Oregon Health & Science University, where she received her certification in endodontics in 2009. She practiced in a private setting until September 2018, after which she transitioned into academia at OHSU within the endodontology department. In March 2022, Dr. Wingrove joined the faculty at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. Most recently, she earned her EdD in Health Professions Education from AT Still University in May 2024. Dr. Wingrove is deeply passionate about education, believing that fostering the next generation of dental professionals is essential for advancing the field and improving patient care
